This renovation project cost the more than $2 Million, but the expensive price tag translated into an amazing design renovation by Wearstler, who was also responsible for the property’s original design in 1999.

The Avalon Hotel Beverly Hills’ improvements include renovated public spaces and more than eighty upgraded guestrooms. The rooms now have European Oak floors and an upgraded in-room technology, adding Jawbone Jambox Bluetooth speakers and Keypr tablets to the existent technology.

As expected, the rooms also showcase Wearstler’s signature style. There are a lot of color in the newly renovated rooms, as well as a mix of elegance and extravagance that’s typical of this famous designer.

Wearstler also renovated the cabanas area. This new space now has a palette of hand-painted trompe l’oeil patterns inspired by Italian architect Gio Ponti ornamenting the walls. There are also , vintage-gilded Italian lounge chairs, Carl Gustaf Hiort af Ornäs’ 1950s beechwood lounge chairs and Pierre Chapo coffee tables.

Viviane Restaurant at Avalon Hotel Beverly Hills

The upgrades in the property in Beverly Hills also included the new Viviane Restaurant by Bombet Hospitality Group and executive chef Michael Hung. This restaurant is centered around a boomerang-shaped pool with private cabanas.

Viviane Restaurant at Avalon Hotel Beverly Hills

The new design included new seating areas; a curated mix of custom and vintage furnishings, such as a 1950s Carlo de Carli settee alongside wood and brass dining chairs by American mid-century designer Dan Johnson; and on the far end of the main dining room, a marble bar surrounded by vintage iron-forged bar stools refashioned with deep blue and ivory geometric-patterned leather sling seat cushions.
