Pierre Charpin was nominated Maison et Objet’s Designer of the Year and will showcase his work in a self-designed hub at the fair in January.

In his self-designed space, Charpin will present a number of products he has created throughout his career, including the PC lamp he developed over a three-year period with Sebastian Wrong.
Since the early 1990s Charpin has devoted himself to designing furniture and objects. In 1990 his first solo exhibition was held at the Galerie Perkal, in Paris, where he presented his research into the possibility of “anthropomorphic” furniture, and a series of silver tableware objects.
